Material:

250 grams of rice flour
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
700 ml of water and pandan leaves
175 grams of corn starch
5 tablespoons vegetable oil
green and red food coloring


For syrup of palm sugar sauce:

500 ml thick coconut milk from coconuts
100 grams of brown sugar
50 grams sugar
3 pieces of pandan leaf
1 teaspoon cornstarch, dissolved in water
10 pieces of durian seeds


How to make:

  • Combine rice flour, sugar, water and pandan leaves. Cook over low heat until thickened. then chill.
  • Combine corn starch with a mixture of rice, stirring frequently. add vegetable oil, and stir again until blended.
  • Divide the dough into 3 parts. Each section was given a red dye, green and let the rest remain white. Stir each mixture until blended.
  • Prepare a special mold to make 'putu Virgin'. enter each of the batter into the molds, then print and Cover with banana leaves that have been spread with oil.
  • Heat a steamer. Steam for 5 minutes until cooked, then remove from heat and let cool. Serve with syrup of palm sugar sauce.
  • Make a syrup of palm sugar sauce: cook all ingredients over low heat until thickened. lift, then set aside.
